Important: New operating system for Mac - do not update

Apple has released a new operating system - but do not upgrade now
Apple launched a new operating system on Thursday, November 12, macOS 11 Big Sur. Employees who have a Mac are advised not to upgrade to the new operating system at this time as it may complicate the email recovery. Due to the ongoing email problems, the IT unit has not had time to verify that the new system works in the university\'s computer environment. We will return with more information on when it may be appropriate to do the upgrade.

Note that it is ok to make other updates. All updates (Including to the current operating system Catalina) available in the Managed Software Center are ok to do.

Planned system maintenance is carried out regularly, usually on the third Wednesday of the month.
